Description
The SS-2533IR is a welding-grade safety spectacle developed by Parkson Safety Industrial Corp (Taiwan). It is built with a durable nylon frame that includes molded side shields for enhanced protection against lateral exposure. The lens is a single-piece polycarbonate (PC) fitted over the nose mould, offering clarity and impact resistance. The lens meets infra-red (IR) protection standards (Green #5 shade) under EN 169 for welding filters, while overall eyewear protection follows CE EN166 and ANSI Z87+ standards. The glasses are lightweight (≈ 33 grams), with adjustable-length temples to ensure a secure, comfortable fit across different head sizes. Optional coatings (anti-fog, anti-scratch, mirror, etc.) are available to adapt performance to environment conditions (humidity, heat, etc.).

Industries / Applications
Where SS-2533IR is suitable / typically used:
-
Welding operations (especially where infra-red, UV exposure is a risk) – arc welding, gas welding etc.
-
Metal fabrication workshops, maintenance shops.
-
Industrial settings with exposure to blue light / UV / IR (e.g. cutting, torch work).
-
Construction or heavy industry when welding / brazing is part of the operations.
-
Possibly laboratories or training centres that teach welding or use IR light sources.
