Description:
The Gray Wolf Aluminized Safety Hood is a specialized protective hood designed to shield the wearer’s head, face, and neck from radiant heat, molten metal splashes, and high temperature exposure. Manufactured by Gray Wolf (RSafe), it uses a layered construction: an outer aluminized leather coating to reflect high levels of radiant heat, combined with premium leather base and a Kevlar or aramid fabric lining to provide both thermal and mechanical protection. This hood is intended for severe industrial environments like steel mills, foundries, furnaces, metal fabrication, glass manufacturing, etc. It is not designed for fire entry or direct flame contact but rather for protection against radiant, conductive, and convective heat as well as molten metal splash.
Key Features:
-
Outer aluminized coating on premium leather — reflects radiant heat, improving protection against high-temperature exposure.
-
Lined with Kevlar or aramid fabric to provide strength in mechanical wear, tear, and extra thermal insulation.
-
Durable construction, with stitching using Kevlar thread for enhanced strength and life.
-
Designed specifically for molten metal splash risk and radiant heat. Not for direct fire entry.
-
Applications include steel mills, smelters, furnaces, metal fabrication, glass works, radiant barriers.
Idustrial Uses / Applications:
- Steel Mills.
- Smelters and Furnaces.
- Metal Fabrication and welding.
- Industrial and commercial Ovens.
- Metal foundries and forges.
- Glass Manufacturing.
- Radiant Barriers.
